I’ve had the privilege of experiencing God’s provision countless times in my life. Today, I want to share just one personal testimony of how generously he has been providing for my family.
As I got pregnant with our daughter, my husband and I were both students and thus struggled financially. Caring for a child comes with a lot of joy but also a lot of material needs. It wasn’t long that people came up to give us different things we might need. Without even asking, different family members, some friends and even strangers brought us baby supplies, finances and helpful information. We received piles and piles of Baby clothing in different seizes to cover the first 6 months of her life. NOTHING was lacking by the time of her birth.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
The promise that God provides completely manifested in our situation. By the time our daughter arrived we hardly spent any money of our own but had more than enough to care for our baby.
And God provided even more. Since we didn’t have a car on our own, we organized one for the week around due date. To our surprise, my water broke two weeks before I was due in the middle of the night. And you know what? One day before that, a friend of us placed his car in front of our house and dropped the keys in our mailbox. Thank God, because a car was the only way to get to the hospital at two o’clock in the morning.
Later we asked our friend why he brought his car to our house that early. He said he just wanted to get it done.
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34
We were blessed beyond measure because God is good. It taught me that when God wants to do something in our life, he will follow through with it no matter what. Let me say it again: If God wants his will manifested in your life, nothing can stop him!
He didn’t just provide us with what we needed, but with more than that. Countless times he showed us his support and blew our minds with his blessings.
Through many seasons of my life I experienced God’s provisions by his grace alone. I’m convinced, that when we decide to live for God, he will provide for us:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
God wants to do the same for you. All he asks you to do is to seek his will above all else and to trust him. The longer you live surrendered to him, the more you’ll experience his provision and faithfulness in your life.
